Something like Poetry

Unbolt

You say the road is long.
You say your horse is tired.
One thousand reasons You find
To step down from your ride.
You’ve searched here and there.
You’ve searched high and low.
If there was a way out
You would have found by now.
But every turn you take.
And every door you knock.
Takes you only closer to
The end that you relentessly try to block.
You want it all to end.
You want it all to stop.
Give anything for
A full stop.

Now lets have a swift rewind.
And flip the angle nice.
Lets take a look at the scene
From a different side.
To them all you do is shine.
And you never speak no lies.
They all want to stretch or shrink
Their feet to fit your size.
But I doubt they ever see.
I doubt will they ever know.
The fear that you go through
The same that you refuse to show.
You want it all to end.
You want it all to stop.
Give anything for
A full stop.

When was the last
Time that you smiled?
A smile from the depth of your heart.
Arent your eyes
tired scaling the skies?
Looking for a sign on where to start.
So did you,
find whatever that is
That you were searching for?
How would you,
When all you do is refuse
to unbolt your own door?

Coz you will not
Lead unless you follow.
And you will not
Lend unless you’ve had to borrow.

So Unbolt.
